Description: Excellent specimen of Wisconsin Moonstone or Anorthoclase Feldspar that has with two sides of very bright iridescent schiller. The Schiller is very bright and my camera could not get the expose right to make a video. High grade and could be cut several times to yield more pieces with the schiller. Rough as found specimen does have some interesting secondary minerals which I thought at first were Arfvesdonite but I think they are something else possibly Magnetite or one of the others found in this locale. It is from the Stettin Pluton and part of a Pegmatite that is the only source for the this Wisconsin Moonstone and is only found in a 4 square mile area (all on private property. Fluoresces a cherry red under short wave UV light (not pictured). From Stettin, Marathon County, Wisconsin. 252 grams. 3-1/4" x 2-3/4" I do combine shipping, so please request an invoice before paying.
