The vast majority of Germans in World War II were Catholics. Like many funeral services today, a small card (usually baseball card size) were printed with a photo and brief history of the deceased. This custom has existed for several centuries and was very prevalent during the Second World War. This particular card was printed in remembrance of: Johann Prock Johann was a Private in the Army and passed in a Stalingrad POW Camp on April 9, 1945 at the age of 31.
