Description: This iconic French bread “guillotine” slicer, has a sharp blade and is very heavy, weighing 5 ½". It was used in a bakery or restaurant where it sliced long baguettes. Has an engraved logo of a running big cat and the name Rival (see last photo.) I have had smaller home versions of similar slicers but never an industrial sized one. There are 4 holes in the base where it had been bolted to a wooden table top. Brass details. Measures 21” long; 5”wide 5”tall.
